Biography

After receiving an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois and attending the London School of Economics, Mr. Lesser graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1980. Mr. Lesser is the President of the Lake County Bar Association. He previously served as vice-president and as Chair of the Bar’s Committee on Wills, Trusts & Probate. He has been in private practice in Chicago and Lake Forest representing people and small businesses for 26 years.

In 2003, Mr. Lesser was elected to a four-year term on the Village Board of Trustees (city council) for Lake Bluff, Illinois. He was re-elected to a second four year term in 2007.

Mr. Lesser has an A-V Rating (the highest available) from Martindale-Hubbell. He has written in a number of publications and spoken to a variety of organizations about estate planning, including the Illinois Certified Public Accountants Association and the Illinois Safe Deposit Association. He is past President of the Lake County Estate Planning Council, an organization composed of professionals engaged in the field of estate planning. He is also past President of the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce and the Deerfield Optimist Club.

Mr. Lesser is a life-long resident of Lake County and currently lives in Lake Bluff with his wife, Terry, and their four children, Emelia, Veronica, Bryan and Dorena.
